Inspired by timing demands for sporting competitions, Klepcys DICE (an acronym for Double Independent Chronograph Evolution) is an innovative Double Independent Monopusher Chronograph. First introduced in 2021 by Cyrus Genève and its in-house manufacture in Le Locle (Switzerland), the Klepcys DICE is now sporting a new look – the Klepcys DICE Lime.
Like its predecessor, it is equipped with two independent mono-pusher chronographs for measuring two short intervals of time independently or in synchrony, all housed in a single self-winding mechanical movement.
The two column wheels are highlighted on the dial at 12 and 6 o’clock in bright green and yellow lacquer. The unusual arrangement of the chronograph mechanism on the dial side reveals the motion of the finely decorated wheels, levers, and gears mounted on a double mainplate.
The 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock – the star function of Klepcys DICE – is equipped with two vertically aligned hands in green and yellow. Thanks to the bold colors, reading the two elapsed times is instantaneous. The independent hands track a graduated scale with markers at 15 and 30 minutes in alternating green and yellow. The same color scheme is used for the two central seconds hands. The twin crowns are equipped with pushers that control the chronograph functions. Each is distinguished by either a green or yellow anodized aluminum ring to select which chronograph will be activated.
